Super Representatives (SRs) are the active block producers in TRON's Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism. TRX holders stake TRX to obtain TRON Power (TP), then use TP to vote for candidates. At each maintenance update, the network recalculates the rankings. The top 27 candidates produce blocks and participate in governance during the next cycle.
Note: Reward figures shown are examples only. Please refer to the TronScan Network Parameters page for the latest on-chain parameters.
Roles and rankings
| Role | Rank | Responsibilities | Protocol rewards |
|---|---|---|---|
| Super Representative (SR) | 1 to 27 | Take turns producing blocks and participate in governance proposals | Block rewards and voting rewards |
| SR Partner | 28 to 127 | Do not produce blocks, but remain eligible for voting rewards | Voting rewards |
| SR Candidate | 128 onward | Remain registered, receive votes, and compete in the rankings | Not currently eligible for protocol rewards |
| Voter | N/A | Use TP to support candidates | Receive a share of rewards according to the candidate's reward settings |
These roles depend on the rankings at each maintenance update. As vote totals change, a registered candidate may move between the SR, SR Partner, and SR Candidate tiers. The current maintenance interval on Mainnet is six hours.

How rewards are distributed
On Mainnet, each successfully produced block currently generates an 8 TRX block reward and 128 TRX in voting rewards. The top 27 SRs are eligible to earn block rewards by producing blocks. The top 127 candidates share voting rewards in proportion to their vote totals. Each candidate sets its Brokerage, the percentage of rewards it retains. The remaining rewards are distributed to its voters in proportion to the votes they cast for that candidate.
