WIth multi-signature, one account can be jointly controlled by multiple users. To execute an action initiated by one of the controlling users, the weighted sum of signatures by some or all users on the access list must reach a certain threshold.
Step 1: Open TRONSCAN and click Connect Wallet in the upper right corner.
Step 2: Go to your account page and click Account. Scroll down to Access Setting.
TRONSCAN provides users with two permissions, namely owner permission and active permission. Owner permission has the highest authority. Addresses with account owner permission could initiate all actions towards the related account. Active permission provides a permission combination. For example, you can set up an active permission that only allows TRX transfers and stake assets. Addresses with account active permission could only initiate actions that are within the active permission.
Step 3: Click “Edit Access” and name the active access in “Access Name” field.
Step 4: Click “Add” under “Operate” field. In the pop-up window, check boxes to add accesses or un-check boxes to delete them, then click “Save”.
Step 5: In “Threshold” field, set the threshold value representing the total weights required to execute an operation. It can be any integer equal to or larger than 1.
Step 6: In “Keys” field, enter the addresses you want to grant this active access to (5 addresses at most). Each address must be given a weight no larger than the threshold value, while total weights of all addresses combined must be larger than or equal to the threshold value. Transactions that require multi-signature are executed and recorded on the blockchain on the condition that addresses giving signed consent have a total weight greater than or equal to the threshold value.
Simply click “Add new accesses”, if you wish to add other new active accesses. A total of 8 active accesses are allowed.
Step 7: After editing, please click “Save” to save your changes.
